Simon Martin
After graduating with an Honours’ Degree in Business Administration from De Montfort University, Simon started his career with a Top 10 marketing communications consultancy BDP (Business Development Partnership Ltd).
After three years he moved into the city working for Global Markets, a leading investment banking Executive Search consultancy. At Global Markets he established the first and only specialist board level PR recruitment company in the UK at the time. After four years he moved on to work for a number of marketing recruitment companies as a freelance New Business Director.
Simon identified that there was a need to pro-actively leave ‘the desk’ behind and forge strong commercial relationships with clients and candidates. He established The White Partnership to put his beliefs into practice. Keeping the business small and personable, he has developed a unique model that is now also benefiting from synergies with a global network of specialist recruiters.
Simon’s father was a leading professional Footballer, so sport is in his blood and remains his passion. He taught skiing in Austria and was a successful junior golfer, winning the Daily Telegraph Junior Golfer of the Year in 1988. Simon speaks German and enjoys wine and cooking.
